Lemon Yogurt Sauce
Ingredients
- 1½ cups plain yogurt (2.9% fat or Greek yogurt)
- 1½ tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 clove garlic, pressed or grated
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley
To Make Lemon Yogurt Sauce
- In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together until well combined.
- Taste and adjust: add more salt for overall flavor, more lemon juice for stronger lemon flavor, or more garlic for more bite.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Pairs well with spicy curries, fritters, grilled chicken or fish, and kabobs.
